• Where
is SWO located?? Can I drop in?
We
are based in California. Sorry, we don't have
a retail location, but we'd love to hear
from you if you have a special order or need more information
about anything in our product lineup.
• Tell
me about "Aquarium Safe" products?
This
means that (to the best of our knowledge) the item is safe
to use in an aquarium. (Note that natural corals and seashells
are only for use in SALTWATER environments, not freshwater.) Synthetic
corals can be used in both fresh and saltwater tanks.
Items
that are NOT marked "aquarium safe" may
contain residues that could harm aquatic life, and
are sold for non-aquarium decorative purposes only.
In particular, ALL natural starfish and preserved sea
life is NOT AQUARIUM SAFE. Always use caution and common
sense before putting anything in your fish tank!

• How
can I avoid order processing delays?
To
be sure and receive your order as quickly as possible,
we need accurate information for shipping and billing.
Our secure shopping service is sensitive (for your protection)
and using your cell phone number for the phone contact
may cause a security delay. Placing your order from a different
state than the billing address on the card may also flag
the security system.
Also,
we MUST have accurate shipping address information. An
incorrect address will require us to contact you for
correct information, thereby delaying your shipping date.
Please be aware that we cannot ship to PO boxes. If you
have any special concerns, feel free to email
us for more information.

This
rarely happens, actually. We're experts at getting the
product safely to you! In the event something does arrive
in poor condition, just let us know as soon as it arrives.
We'll have FedEx pick it up at no charge to you. (Save
the box and packing materials.) Once the damage claim is

All
orders are fully insured. Once the items leave our warehouse,
the shipping carrier (FedEx) is responsible for any damage,

• Can
I return something?
Of
course! See our return policy and terms-of-service here.
• I
opted-in for your mailing list... you're not going
to fill up my inbox, are you? Or sell
my info?
No
way. We hate spam too! You'll see a newsletter or special
offer from us 1-2 times per month generally. If you change
your mind and want to be removed from the mailing list,
just email
us here and we'll update your account status. An opt-out
link will also be provided in all mailings from us. We
never sell, rent or share your information.

• Are
the corals and starfish alive?
No.
We don't sell any live fish or animals. All our
natural corals and starfish are commercially prepared for
decorative and/or aquarium use. Check the individual item
descriptions for suitability for aquariums.
• Did
you collect all that glass from the actual beach?
All
of our decorative
glasses are tumbled, which means that they didn't come
from the ocean. It DOES mean that you get high quality,
consistently colored glass that's frosted and smoothed,
resembling the real thing. It also comes to you at a much
better price! Our "sparkling" line offers
a new look in decorative glass: it's only been tumbled
enough to remove the sharp edges, leaving the surfaces
clear to catch the light and glitter like colorful gemstones.

• Are
your floats the antique ones?
We
sell quality blown-glass
floats, brand new, made for decorative purposes. They
are substantially less expensive than antique floats, and
they look great!
• I
got my sealife order, and it smells! What's wrong?
Nothing
is wrong. Certain preserved sea life does have a natural
odor, and sometimes it's pretty strong! We'll tell you
in the item description if it has a noticeable aroma. Generally:
seashells and corals have no odor at all, dried starfish
mostly have a slight smell, and certain stars/sponges are
downright powerful. Again, check the item description or email for
details.

• Can
I purchase products wholesale?
Yes.
To purchase wholesale, you will need to provide a valid,
verifiable resellers license for an appropriate line of
business: e.g. gift shops, craft stores, aquarium supply,
interior design, etc. The first order will have a minimum
of $250.00, excluding shipping charges. Every order thereafter
will have a minimum of $100.00 excluding shipping charges.
Items will have to be purchased in wholesale quantities;
for example if you are interested in 4-6” sugar starfish,
the minimum may be 100 pieces for wholesale pricing. Some
items will not qualify for wholesale pricing.
• Do
you have a paper catalog?
No.
Due to the fact that we add and subtract products
weekly, the costs to produce a paper catalog would
be prohibitive. The online
catalog is the only catalog available at this
time.
• You
still didn't answer my question.
No
problem! Just drop
us a line and we'll be glad to answer any other questions
you have.
